Saturated fat dos not "block arteries". It's a myth; and was originally nothing more than an erroneous hypothesis that has been propagandized. Sugar actually causes heart disease & diabetes. Google "syndrome x". Also 8/10+ people have an intolerance to gluten (thanks to the wonders of genetically modified foods); causing silent inflammation on the body that causes arthritis, seizures, high blood pressure, mental health problems & a zillion other health issues. You will need a stool test to detect the gluten antibodies. Most all of us need to also be avoiding casien, soy and corn. Yes even corn now. Everyone needs to avoid excitotoxins, and chemicals on our food and in our bath, body and cleaning products. What you put on your skin can be as important as what you eat. Oh, and trans fats are bad news. If you have heart disease because of life style you don't have to give up (grass-fed) beef! And you should be using coconut oil ... What you should avoid are almost anything in a box, bag or can. And anything cooked in vegetable oil!
Thanks for this hub; and prevention is indeed better than cure. I couldn't help but notice Monica's comment. Wow looks like I have to do some research on sugar! ah!!!!
